Hey Rxi,
i will try them, thanks!:D
What do you think are the most wanted ports out there???
i think IBM jvm and OOo are some of the most wanted... i have the binaries, but i just dropped them in opt and ran them, maybe i should arrange some ports for them too... I'm not aware of a place where ibm jvm is downloadable without subsribing to developer's forum...

cheers

Nullpointer,

id offer both. ibm-java and ibm-java-bin. i have an ibm id btw.

OOo is pretty popular even tho i personally dont use them. depending how much time maintaining crux/sparc will take ill be happy to help provide ports and/or maintain them.

rxi

about your ports, consider many other ports are already available on http://crux.nu/portdb/

use that ones where possible and/or if you can subscribe the clc mailing list, so you can make a personal ports repository and help the ppc community integration with x86 developers

thank you very much :D

giulivo,

well the ports i listed are from the x86 tree. only mine have been either modified or tested on ppc.

i do have a personal repo but that was for x86 and rxi-sparc is for sparc. i spose i could start a rxi-ppc but i would like to wait until this mutliarch is sorted early next year before i get serious about it.
