 Post subject: unable to mount root fs on umknown block(2,0)

i have read the documentation which says to specify "root=/dev/hdn" on the crux-ppc documentation. And I have tried all possible values still the problem persists. I need advice. Thanks.

Well what had to do to get mine going was at the boot prop I used command "apple32 root=/dev/hdb" I'm trying to get cruxppc going on a ibook G3.

what kind of hardware are you using? Are you still tryng to install CRUX PPC or do you only need help with yaboot settings ?

because the Apple iBook G3 has only one ATA bus then your cdrom is a primary slave.

I am trying to install CRUX PPC on it hoping it will do much better than Tiger in managing it's resources.
