Hello,

I have been attempting to install CRUX on my Powerbook G4 (Last Revision). When I attempt to boot the installation it gets to "console [tty0] enabled, bootconsole disabled" and then nothing more seems to happen. Any help on what I am doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

please report your true PowerBook model.
Anyway if you are experiencing difficulties booting, try with:
Code:
apple32 root=/dev/hdc video=ofonly panic=10

CRUX PPC (32bit) was extensively tested on latest PowerBook and iBook models.

The model number on the back is: A1138.

I should have been more clear in my original post. I have gone through the installation without any problems. However, when I try to boot into the system that's when the system hangs after the above output.

Thanks again.

if you installed CRUX PPC without any problem thus you forgave to include a proper frame buffer support (as built-in) when you compiled your own kernel.

from the CRUX PPC Handbook:
Code:
Useful kernel config files are placed into the /usr/src directory. They are the config files used to build the boot kernels.
