Hello.
I've been tried to print with HP PSC1350. I am currently using 'contrib' port fetched from i386. I couldn't find one for ppc of 2.0. Then the ghostscript you will compile is version 7.07.1. But it just fails with 'gs'. So I had to try 7.05.6 and it works fine. :D

This maybe not significant and many might already found this fact. But I wished I could notice it earlier: 'gs -h' gives normal message and it was only thing I was told to have a look at. So I was just believing ghostscript has no problem...

Especially google search with 'ghostscript segmentation fault' wasn't much helpful. :? After all it was a version problem..? I am no programmer so I am not able to trace and make a patch.. Bye.

crux ppc 2.0-pre3 vanilla kernel
gcc-3.3.3-hammer-1

Could you please provide the output of the ghostscript 7.07.1 failed compilation? The following could be a good start point in this direction. It would be great if you could give the following commands and then paste here the content of the resulting .output file.

Code:
cd /usr/ports/contrib/ghostscript
pkgmk -d -i 2>&1 | tee .output

Do you have any i686 machine that runs CRUX?
Does ghostscript 7.07.1 work for you on it?

You might consider send a bug report to the ghostscript developers.
Have you already looked for messages from people with the same problem on the ghostscript mailing lists?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.
