the newly committed 16.1h-7 version of the cvsup package seems to segfault on Pegasos2 computers during the build with an error like this:

Code:
=== package /usr/ports/opt/cvsup/work/src/m3-libs/m3core ===
+++ cm3 -build  -DROOT='/usr/ports/opt/cvsup/work/src'  && cm3 -ship -DROOT='/usr/ports/opt/cvsup/work/src'  +++

***
*** runtime error:
***    Segmentation violation - possible attempt to dereference NIL
***    pc = 0x7fffec50
***

*** execution of  failed ***
=======> ERROR: Building '/usr/ports/opt/cvsup/cvsup#16.1h-7.pkg.tar.gz' failed.

the problem seems to affect only the Pegasos2 computers, infact the package works well on Apple iBooks, iMacs and the IBM RS6000 (Power3)... so at this time Pegasos2 users should not upgrade their version of cvsup.

For what it's worth, I've run into the same (or maybe just similar) problem on a PowerBook with Crux 2.0.1rc1 -- which appears to use the aforementioned version of cvsup.

Originally the error popped up when I tried to use it (via 'ports -u'). Needless to say I've been using the httpup repositories for a while. The same error popped up when I tried to build it.

bash-2.05b$ cat cpuinfo
processor : 0
cpu : 7447/7457, altivec supported
clock : 999MHz
revision : 1.1 (pvr 8002 0101)
bogomips : 508.92
machine : PowerBook6,2
motherboard : PowerBook6,2 MacRISC3 Power Macintosh
detected as : 287 (PowerBook G4)
pmac flags : 0000000a
L2 cache : 512K unified
memory : 256MB
pmac-generation : NewWorld

To make a long story short, a 1 GHz 12" PowerBook G4.
