you have to modify and re-export your PATH, MANPATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH including the install directory of kde

i don't know if it's documented into the konstruct manual, it should be... anyway, in the simplest case, i think you can safely modify the .bashrc file located in your home directory and add:

export PATH=$PATH:/root/kde3.5.5/bin:/root/kde3.5.5/sbin
export MANPATH=$MANPATH:/root/kde3.5.5/man
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/root/kde3.5.5/lib

but the /root directory should be world traversable (chmod o+x /root) and /root/kde3.5.5 should be world readable and traversable (chmod o+rx /root/kde3.5.5)

good luck!

Don't know what konstructor is (i can imagine) but i now read from the crux mailing list that Alan Mizrahi has some fresh kde 3.3.5 ports:
http://www.mizrahi.com.ve/crux/pkgs/
and his httpup file is located here:
http://www.mizrahi.com.ve/crux/pkgs/alan.httpup
It might be a good idea to build kde with ports, in the traditional crux way, instead of using something that will leave files out of control of the package systems...

check those ports out, it might then be kind to tell the guy that his ports are working on crux-ppc

I have found any information on the KDE install guide, but I don't know what I must do...
The istuctions are:

4.7. Post-installation procedures

First of all, please make sure that you have added KDE's binary installation folder (e.g. /usr/local/kde/bin) to your PATH and KDE's library installation folder to your LD_LIBRARY_PATH (only necessary on systems that do not support rpath; on Linux® ELF, it should work without). This environment variable may be called differently on some systems, e.g. it is called SHLIB_PATH on IRIX®. Then set the environment variable KDEDIR to the base of your KDE tree, e.g. /usr/local/kde.

Caution
Please bear in mind that it is unwise to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH blindly. In the vast majority of cases it is unnecessary and can do more harm than good.

Even though you can use most of the KDE applications simply by calling them, you can only benefit fully from KDE's advanced features if you use the KDE window manager and its helper programs.

In order to make it easy for you, we have provided a simple script called startkde which gets installed in $KDEDIR/bin and is therefore in your path.

I don't know why you've built kde by Konstruct.
I've built kde always from crux's ports, and it works.
I've found only one problem building qt, and I solved it removing mysql support from its ./configure script.
I think that for a more clean system you always have to use crux's ports; I suggest to you to reinstall kde from ports.

bye
